Our curriculum is uniquely geared to the developmental needs and abilities of the pre-kindergarten child. We offer a rich and supportive environment where children are able to participate in a wide variety of activities and experiences, including:
Sensory table, playdough table and library change monthly to reflect our curriculum.
September: All about me, school, friendship, colors and apples
October: Fall, pumpkins, scarecrows, spiders and bats
November: Five senses, giving thanks and family traditions
December: Celebrating the season, holidays around the world, manners and teacher’s tea party
January*: Winter, snow, polar animals, and hibernation
February: Community helpers, space and love (Valentine’s day)
March: Spring, insects, rainbows and Dr. Seuss
April: Our earth, plants and dinosaurs
May: Zoo animals, opposites, mother’s tea and preschool graduation
*January begins our student “jobs” and our letter of the week units
Raechel Brady earned her B.A. In Sociology from Oregon State University and her M.A. In Early Childhood Education from Concordia University. She taught Pre-K in Tualatin for 11 years before moving back to her hometown of Silverton, Oregon. She shares with her students her lifelong love of learning and all things creative!
